The Xanga Community has members from almost every different time zone on the
planet! We've made it easy for every member to set their Xanga Sites to use
their own local time zones.
Setting Your Own Time Zone
To set your time zone, just sign into your Xanga Site and click the little "Account
info" link in that first box on the left. On that page, you'll see a
pull-down menu with all of the world's time zones. Just choose your time zone
and click "Save Changes".
If you live in a time zone that uses daylight savings, just check the box and
we'll "automatically adjust for daylight saving changes" for you!
How Do Time Zones Work on Xanga?
Basically, there are two rules of thumb:

Everything that appears on your Xanga Site uses your local time
zone

Everything that appears on someone else's Xanga Site uses that person's
local time zone
Ok, it's not quite that simple. There are exceptions to these rules. But
for the most part these two rules of thumb are all you need to know to
understand how time zones work on Xanga.
For example, let's say you publish a new post to your Xanga Site:

On your Xanga Site

New Post - the time stamp of that post will appear in your local
time zone

Any Comments - the time stamp of any comments left on that post
will appear in your local time zone.
