Our TravelGap plans are underwritten by UNICARE Life & Health Insurance Company, a WellPoint Health Networks company. Wellpoint is one of the nation's largest health insurance companies serving 13 million members and approximately 42 million specialty members. Our TripProtector plans are underwritten by Stonebridge Casualty insurance Company.

Better Coverage: All of our plans have met the standards of state regulators and feature coverage more generous than plans sold as "surplus lines" coverage by non-admitted insurers. For example, our travel medical plans do not exclude illnesses or injuries resulting from a terrorist act: a standard exclusion on competing travel medical plans. Terrorism coverage is also included in our travel protection plans, subject to meeting certain requirements.
