He is considered to be one of the most over-rated (and sometimes hated) characters on board 8 along with fellow villain Sephiroth. However, many of the few fans of Final Fantasy VII on Board 8 counter these statements by claiming that people who say Final Fantasy VII is overrated are simply jumping on a bandwagon and that most have never even played the game.
